Tim Cook openly apologized about the sub-par iOS 6 maps. He suggested a whole bunch of 3rd party apps instead. Google reportedly did not hand over the necessary data for turn-by-turn directions which prompted Apple to release their own mapping solution.
Apple v/s Scout : My experiences
I personally used Scout app (by TeleNav) when it was free for a month. I launched it on the iPhone 5 and lo behold, Scout offered a free year of turn-by-turn based navigation which is voice enabled. It is pretty neat and gets the job …

I have been using Google+ for about 3 weeks now and it is nothing short of ‘awesome’! An Android app was available long back but Apple approved Google+ today and it looks exactly like that of its Android counterpart. I prefer Google+ over FaceBook for some serious social experience just because there aren’t apps or ads on Google+ just yet. All in all, Google+ is definitely worth a shot.
Download Google+ for your iPhone here if you already have a Google+ account.
I have plenty of Google+ invites to give away. Ask …

Google shipped the Nexus One in record time (It took 22 hours from the time I ordered to the time I received it!). As always, I want more out of it, so I had to Root my device. I use both Apple and Android phones and the main striking difference between the two being – iPhone is a completely closed platform while Android is totally open source! Google’s flagship device, Nexus One was Rooted even before the retail version came out, that is how Google wants the user to enjoy …

Take a quick look at Nexus One’s capabilities :

Nexus One’s 3G Data Support : T-Mobile or AT&T?
The power packed Nexus One has support for Quad band Voice networks

HSPA : 900/1700/2100 MHz (Only T-Mobile in USA, No AT&T)

Microsoft did a fantastic job with their latest app for the iPhone – Bing! It more or less mimics Google’s app but in a much better fashion. This is a must-have iPhone  app, give it a shot and I am sure you will love it! Voice search is deeply integrated and Image slideshow is a treat to watch! All in all a fantastic effort from Microsoft. Hope they change the way image description is shown with each image and if they could include spoken directions with the directions – they …

Google is finally fighting against fraudulent ads / scammers. Google Adwords, their advertising campaign has always been the breeding place for con artists luring innocent people into ‘get rich quick’ schemes. Google emerging victorious in this campaign against scam artists may take a long time given the nature of the internet. For instance, the scammer can launch a new website, new name and same old game. So Google cannot intelligently automate the process of curbing the scammers. What they should do is employ stricter measures @ the root level, that …
