Not sure if I am doing something terribly wrong but landscape shots are always Letterboxed on the iPhone 5.
I would like to know why! It is really annoying. Josh’s review showed one of this letterboxing. I don’t think I want to edit every image taken with iPhone 5 to remove the letterboxing.
Here is a raw sample shot with my iPhone 5.

It looks fine once imported but on the iPhone itself, it shows those 2 ugly black strips in landscape mode.

Apple iPhone 5 preorders debuted at 3:00 AM EST today giving folks in the west coast an unfair advantage. The delivery times are now showing a 2 week delay at Apple. Ordering from your carrier (in may case, AT&T which still says the iPhone 5 can be delivered on Sep 21st) or Walmart (at a discount, no less!) might be your best bets.

Update : The link provided here is for Apple Canada site. US availability is not known yet but starts at $649 instead of the reported $699. 
Unlocked iPhone 5 will be available from day 1 of its availability in the US for a whooping $699 for the 16GB variant with a $100 premium for each additional 16GB, no surprises there!

Apple is great at advertising and there is plenty of information on how good the iPhone 5 is. You might not find so many articles outlining the drawbacks of the latest iPhone. This information may be vital for the informed consumer.
