Jailbreak and Activate iPhone 1.1.3 (Unlock Pending Confirmation)
Last week has been a memorable one as far as 1.1.3 iPhones is concerned. We have heard of disputes amongst the developers, err hackers!! Everything narrowed down to copyright issues as far as Erica’s note is concerned. Some members of the Dev team and Elite team were in disagreement over the release of 1.1.3 jailbreak. Anyways, NerveGas breaks the news on a perfect Thursday 🙂 The entire jailbreak process is touted to take about half an hour if not more and the interesting part being : it is currently a Windows based solution while the Mac version is being worked out. So, the Mac community might want to switch their virtual machines on now!!
The process involves iBrickr for now. For the first time, Windows users have the upper hand 🙁 🙂 ??!! Why wait! Follow the simple list of some serious steps and there you go, a perfectly jailbroken 1.1.3 iPhone!
It won’t come as a surprise if a much more refined jailbreak solution for the Mac and Windows community is released soon be it from the developers or iNdependence or some other hardcore Mac enthusiast!
Kudos to the iPhone Dev team, iPhone elite team and all the hackers involved in this breathtaking jailbreaking experience!!
(My suggestion : Please wait till a much more polished solution is released such that by that time all the apps in installer.app are 1.1.3 ready! Remember Apple worked the kinks out forcing the apps to be run under var/mobile rather than var/root which means ‘freedom’ is clipped to an extent!!)
will this work for OTB 1.1.3 iphone….or is there any method to jailbreak it. i have tried doig it but i end up with a incorrect sim error.
plzzzz help
@ Confused : I don’t have a 1.1.3 OTB to test. I am not sure if they are available in Apple Stores in NJ yet… So, you were able to downgrade an OTB 1.1.3 and jailbreak it???
im actually in NJ i ordered my phone online and got a few weeks agon and i was succesful in downgrading it jailbreaking it and softw upgrade to 1.1.3 with appinstaller it worked fine but the phone kep showing a incorrect sim error…im hoping someone could help me with that
i have tried with an otb i phone but i get a sim error too. is there a sim unlock hack to go through that?
No SIM unlock yet for OTB 1.1.2 or 1.1.3 iPhones. May I know which provider’s sim are you using on the iphone??

so im stuck in there and all i can do is call a emergency call

@ Ahmad : Congratulations!! It can't be unlocked yet. Anyways, we are sailing in the same boat with ATT and no iPhone contract!! That rocks!
@ Alberto : Well, you might want to follow http://www.hackthatphone.com/113/iphone_downgrade…
hi kiran i trie to do that but the same problem dont let me the error that gives me is not (1015) it saids
the iphone could not be restored, an unknow error occurred (1)
thats what it saids and it ejects my iphone and stays in recovery mode all i cant do is instal the 1.1.3 again
@ Alberto : It is a common error. When the erroro 1015 pops up, you have to quit iTunes and launch iNdependence (mac) / iBrickr (Windows) whic would boot the iPhone….
ok right now i did that with ibrick 0.91 and it stays there like for an houre and it doesnt do anything i also try with apptapp instaler and in the end it saids an error
Hmmm, I am sorry. I tried twice today on a Mac with iNdependence and it worked great. I’m going to publish a 1.1.3 downgrade solution in few minutes. You might want to try that..
in the apptapp it only has firmware 1.0.0
firmware 1.0.1
firmware 1.0.2
whitch one should i used i try all of them and in the end it gives me these error
http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd132/Luis-Alberto-Gil/error.jpg is a pic look at it
Apptapp would definitely fail. iBrickr is the only possibility..
the firware version of my iphone is 04.03.13_G
I am so sorry, you might have to wait till next firmware is released to use phone part 🙁 http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?p=200347
ok kiran i finally got my ibrickr worcking when i do the operation to try to downgrade my iphone and it shows me the error it stays in recovery mode right i launch ibrickr and follow the steps and take’s it out of recovery mode but when i try to dile *#307# thing it send’s me back first page that i can only make emergency calls i dile *3001#12345#* and press version and it said 04.03.13_G that means that it never downgrade in the first place.
and you know when i hold the home and sleep botton to go to DFU mode and press shift restore and look for the 1.1.1 firmware and press it, it saids extracting software after that is done it stops and shows the error
The iphone “iphone” could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1).
so it never downgrade’s that is the problem im having can you help me? Kiran
